The Modcomp Business Systems venture lasted about 4 months before the company declared bankruptcy and closed that division. After that I found a position at Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard, where I stayed for approximately 6 months.
From there I moved to Campbell and Treligan, a software company, where I worked for 3 to 4 months before they too declared bankruptcy. The entire staff was hired together by Arthur D. Little Systems, where I stayed another 4 months or so.
In October 1978 I found a position at NEC Information Systems in Lexington. Kent Bradley, the manager who had taken a chance on me at Modcomp, was there running application development. I stayed with NEC for the rest of my computer career.
